2025: A Year of Stories

We continue to be surrounded by immensely thoughtful collaborators. In 2025 we spent time learning together, creating together and growing together. We're excited to celebrate a small group of the many people that shaped our experience last year. Each person featured brought energy, reflection and action oriented perspectives into the work. We have loved rolling up our sleeves with each of them. 2026 is here and we look forward to the opportunities to grow ahead!

Generous with appreciation

F. Javier Torres-Campos
Co-Founder, Liberation Partners Co-op

Our partnership with Javier was engineered by our client at The New Commonwealth Fund. In this match, we’ve found kindred spirits as we’ve designed and piloted a new model of capacity building together.

Javier makes it easy to be vulnerable in the unknowns and turns of designing and building in real time. He’s an appreciative and giving thought partner, a ready problem-solver, and great with a pivot.

He models the liberated approaches that underpin the program in how he shows up in the day-to-day. He encourages a teammate to rest when it’s been a busy week, sends soup if you have a cold, and always shows gratitude for good work.

Accessibility as care, care as accessibility

BJ Watkins
Co-Founder, Liberation Partners Co-op

BJ has been our partner in designing and implementing a capacity building program for mission-driven leaders across Massachusetts. We’ve learned from BJ’s focus on creating accessible, welcoming experiences.

From physical accommodations to favorite snacks, BJ learns about who will be in the room (virtual or in-person) and creates a space that easefully responds to their preferences and needs. With fidget toys, quiet rooms, preferred cuisines, and stretch breaks that morph into twerk sessions, BJ makes sure that folks feel cared for in body, mind, and spirit.

Tending to people’s stories

Lee Francois
Founder, FGX Studios

Lee Francois is a visual storyteller. We’ve worked with Lee on video production projects for years. Whether managing a client’s feedback together or conducting an interview, Lee meets people where they are with humanity, humor, and kind responsiveness.

Lee’s the kind of partner you want at your side when things don’t go quite as planned. When the raw footage isn’t what was expected or a last minute change comes in, Lee shows up with even-handed get-it-done-ness.

In addition to running his own video business, Lee also serves as the Director of Media Arts for Bethel AME Church in Boston.
