Curtiss Sarikey is Chief of Staff at Oakland Unified School District. We learned from our work with him that a community school district can live its value of community-centricity all the way through its most systemic, strategic work. OUSD showed us that a complex organization can partner, share power, and lead collaboratively.

Curtiss reminds us that, when designing for system transformation, values of collective action and power can be amplified at every node.
