For the past year, we’ve worked with Chavella as part of the team for Boston’s Safe Routes to School initiative, focused on making it safer and more fun for students to walk and bike to school.

We’ve found shared values in how Consult LeLa prioritizes youth voice and community engagement that comes from a place of joy. And we’ve learned from watching Chavella navigate the complexities of this work with intention and care. She makes ways for our teams to make sense of a broad set of stakeholders, stay grounded in program strategy, and keep kids and families at the center throughout.
