Money can be humane.

Aliana Pineiro is Director of Impact at the Boston Impact Initiative (BII). BII is a nonprofit impact investment fund that increases wealth-building opportunities for communities of color. By pushing on norms like credit checks or “high risk” transactions paying higher interest rates, BII shifts how money is deployed: to strengthen communities, to generate wealth where it has been denied, and to honor the value of individuals who are systemically undervalued.

Aliana showed us that engrained practices and structures can be challenged and changed.
