“We’re actually doing it right if we’re getting this feedback that people are feeling uncomfortable.”
The work is necessarily uncomfortable.
Dr. Lyssa Palu-ay is Dean of the Office of Justice, Equity and Transformation (JET) at MassArt. We’ve watched her navigate with grace as she supports this organization in its journey to be a more just and equitable institution. Lyssa moves fluidly between the systemic and the individual, as she supports policy, programmatic and personal shifts.
Lyssa shows us what it looks like to be at once sure-footed and open-minded as we work through equity questions.
The project: Our work with the JET Office created a framework for the transformation the Office is supporting across MassArt. This framework enables the JET team to make both approach and progress explicit, while also providing a toolkit for continued deepening of the work.
